2016 Giving Back Project

Giving Back Project 2016

Time for our 2016 Giving Back project and – for a second and final year – our gifts will help develop leadership in girls through support of daily enrichment programming at the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem (BGCB).

The Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem – at two locations: Marvine Village and Bethlehem’s South Side – has improved the lives of boys and (since 1990) girls, providing low- cost memberships that open a world of sports, leadership and life-skills programs, and service to others. Here what’s we can impact at “The Club”:

  •   EVERY dollar we contribute will go to support important programs at BGCB that prepare girls for leadership and success as they grow into responsible young women. Think about how your dollars can help with “Project Learn”: provides homework help and one- on-one tutoring to make the girls and boys be more successful in school. It is often coordinated with their teachers and counselors for the greatest impact.
  •   Triple Play Leadership Club: a positive force for children ages 10-18 to model active lifestyles with healthy eating, sports and fitness programs, and wellness-related community service projects.
  •   Torch Club for ages 11-13: small-group leadership and service club through which Club staff can meet the needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their development. Torch Club kids learn the democratic process by working together.

Our Board asks that you consider the ‘power’ your gift will have in helping to improve the lives of these wonderful children.

Your participation is voluntary. Please send your tax-deductible check made out to “Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem”. We will present our contributions in mid-December.
